In August 2023 the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) undertook a baseline audit of safeguarding arrangements for Ampleforth Abbey. The audit has been undertaken as part of the pilot phase of audits of religious life groups. The overall grading against the CSSA safeguarding standards was Comprehensive Assurance.
