Many guests join us for the celebration of the Sacred Triduum, arriving on Maundy Thursday in time for the Mass of the Lord's Supper, and departing on Easter Monday after Mass.

During the weekend, guests can participate in a number of retreat conferences, given by one of the monks. This year, the conferences were given by Fr Oswald McBride OSB, who is vocations director for the Ampleforth Community. The theme of his talks was:

"This is My Body" - a series of reflections on the Passion and Easter story, considering the Eucharist,
the mystery of Christian suffering and Christian death
and what it means to be called
to be part of the Church today.

The text of Fr Oswald's conferences can be found below, beginning with a homily for Palm Sunday, which served as an introduction to the talks proper.
