Ampleforth Abbey

10 February 2012

The first century

In 1902 the monks celebrated their first 100 years of living the monastic life in Ampleforth Valley. As part of that centenary thanksgiving, they published a photo album of the place. Few of these albums survive, but our thanks go to Mr & Mrs Bryan Hollier for allowing us to scan theirs.

Some of the captions are missing or need editing. If you know more details about what is in each photo please use the form at the end of the album to let us know! We would be very grateful.
