Gridiron Lapel Pin St Laurence is the patron saint of Ampleforth Abbey and College. He was martyred in Rome in 258 by being roasted alive on a gridiron. For this reason the gridiron motif features on one of the OA ties, and is incorporated into some of 'Mousey' Thomson's furniture here, and even in the architecture of the place. We are offering here a discreet, 1cm wide lapel pin. It is an excellent way to show a connection with us, for OAs, Oblates and our many friends.
